Welcome to your local spot for family fitness and fun!
You’ll love our heated swimming pools that give you the chance to make a splash all year round, and our poolside cardio room that lets you work out in style. There's a super-fun toddlers' splash pool for the little ones, and during summer you can cool down or get in some serious training in our 50m outdoor pool.
We love serving our diverse, multi-cultural community. It's free for all ages to swim in the pools at Papatoetoe Centennial, and we host ladies' nights and seasonal pool party events.

Did you know we run Ladies' Night every Friday?
Ladies-only Night provides a place where you can feel comfortable and relaxed while enjoying a healthy and fun activity. It also provides a great chance to get together and bond through exercise with our Aqua Zumba class or you have the option to relax in the Spa/Sauna.
Children can accompany you if they are 4 years and under but pool alone, and spa and sauna rules apply.

Free swimming for 16 years and under
Young people across Auckland have free access to all council-owned pools. This initiative, for Aucklanders aged 16 years and under, means more of our region’s children and young people can be fit, healthy, and waterwise.*
All customers have free access to swimming at Ōtara Pool and Leisure Centre, Papatoetoe Centennial Pools, and Moana Nui-a-Kiwa Pool and Leisure Centre (excludes spa, sauna, and steam room entry).

Wristbands
Supervision wristbands will be issued on arrival at reception so that your child/ren are easily identified by our lifeguards.
- Caregiver of children 4 years and under must wear a wristband.
- All children aged 5-10 years and their supervising adult must wear a wristband.
- SwimGym students aged 10 and under wanting to swim before or after lessons will also need to wear a wristband.
Things to know before you come to the pool
- To keep our precious tamariki safe we have a pool supervision policy, which specifies minimum adult-to-child ratios.
- To make sure that we are both inclusive and respectful we have guidelines around what to wear in the pool.

Group fitness classes
Group fitness classes get you off the couch and interacting with our community. They also harness the group's energy to create a motivating, challenging, and totally addictive workout experience.
They're a great way to change things up and make the most of your workout!
Play your role
Keep everyone safe and healthy with good hygiene practice - here are a few friendly reminders of the basics:
- Bring your water bottle and towel - No towel = No workout!
- Bring your mat to any floor-based classes (e.g. yoga, etc.)
- Cover your coughs and sneezes (into your elbow or with tissues and dispose of these into the bin immediately)
- Wash your hands frequently
- Wipe equipment you have used - while our staff clean regularly, we need your help too (we have wipes and spray for you to use)
- Shower before you swim or jump into an aqua class (helps us keep our pools clean)
- And, stay home if you are unwell - play it safe!

- Book into group fitness classes related to your membership up to a week in advance.
- You'll be notified of any class cancellations by email.
- You'll receive confirmation of a booked class in a form of an admission ticket.

Bring the party into the water with a 45-minute Aqua ZUMBA class, access to the pools, and entry to the spa and sauna. Entry open to girls and ladies of all ages (boys aged 4 years and under can attend). Pool supervision rules apply. (Aqua ZUMBA has three levels of intensity - low, medium and high) All levels welcome!

Enjoy a low-intensity workout designed to increase strength and mobility while being gentle on the joints. AquaLITE is an equipment class that is ideal for all levels and abilities, including those recovering from injury.

Regular hirer discount
We offer a 20 per cent discount off the standard hourly rate to regular hirers.
Regular hirers are individuals or organisations who hire a venue we manage 10 times or more over the calendar year (1 January to 31 December)
Community group discount
We offer a 30 per cent discount to community groups.
For groups that meet certain criteria, community groups can get 30 per cent off the standard hourly rate.
These discounts can be stackable using reverse compounding methodology and cannot be added together. Maximum discount of 55 per cent.
