UPCOMING BUILDING DEVELOPMENTS: See dates below

Exciting building developments are coming for the remainder of 2021 that we want you to celebrate with us! Although not always noticeable we are working behind the scenes to ensure the best experience in our centre.

Members and overflow changing rooms
Improvements: Fixing the piping network. You will have experienced these areas struggle with consistencies in water pressure and temperature.
Closed: 26 July - 28 July 2021
Alternative: Main changing rooms

Hydro slide and staircase renewal
Improvements: Planned maintenance on the stairwell and repairs to the internal and external supports of the hydro slide.
Closed: 26 July – 30 September

Leisure Pool Hall Shut down
(Wave pool, Toddlers pool, Family, Adult Spa & Lazy River, Sauna and Steam Room)

Improvements: A bi-annual planned maintenance shutdown to refurbish all leisure pool pumps and filter services (better water quality!), deep cleaning of concourse areas, skylights, water feature repairs/cleaning, and much more
Closed: 6 September - 24 September 2021

Main switchboard upgrade
Improvements: No more power failures! Power cuts will no longer be a concern after this significant upgrade. A temporary fix has given us a window to prepare for and we’re now ready for these developments.
Closed: WEST WAVE, within the week of 13 – 17 September. We anticipate a two-day closure. We thought it would be beneficial to perform these works while our Sauna & Steam renewal, Leisure Pool hall shutdown (aforementioned), and Hydroslide renewal were already happening.
Alternatives: Members have been notified of how this will affect their memberships. Please check your emails for more information.

Members changing room upgrade
Improvements: A complete refurbishment of the showers, vanities, paint, and more!

SAUNA AND STEAM ROOM UPGRADE UPDATE: Starts 18 June

Good news! Our Sauna and Steam room upgrade will commence from Friday 18 June for approximately 4 months.

Emails have been sent out to all our SILVER Get into it and Swim it members and relevant pass holders with more information about membership options. Please let us know if you have not received anything and we'll sort that out for you!

Below are some FAQ’s regarding the upcoming work:

Will the shower still be available?
Yes, the existing cold shower will still be available

Is the adult spa going to be closed as well?
No, this will still be open for operation.

Are the renovations going to cause a lot of noise while I’m trying to enjoy a peaceful spa?
Prolonged noisy works (e.g., demolition) will be done after hours but there may be some short-duration noise from time to time (e.g., cutting; drilling).

Will there be access to the adult spa from the main pool?
No, access to the adult spa from main pool will be through the leisure side corridor and past the Wave Pool

Will the drinking fountain by the sauna still be available?
No, unfortunately, the existing drinking fountain will be removed as part of the works, so patrons will need to fill bottles at one of the other fountains around the facility. A new fountain will be provided upon completion of the work.

Will I be able to see what’s going on behind the hoardings?
Regular progress update photos will be provided as the works progress.

We will keep you updated regularly via this page and our Facebook page. If you have any questions, feel free to flick us an email or visit us in the centre.

SAUNA AND STEAM ROOM UPGRADE UPDATE: We've listened!

Back in October 2019, we asked for our members' feedback on what they would like to see in our Sauna and Steam room area. We asked if they would prefer to have one large Sauna or keep the Steam room and Sauna side by side, and our members voted to keep both. Then in December 2020, we presented the concept design.

We are pleased to announce that we are now in the final stages of awarding a construction contract and work is expected to commence in late May/early June. As soon as the contract is awarded, we will be in touch with the confirmed dates.

The work is expected to take approximately 4 months. Members and pass holders have been notified via email with more updates coming soon.
