Allan Brewster Leisure Centre in Papatoetoe has everything you need to get active.
We have a fully equipped and spacious gym, group fitness classes, cycle studio, and squash courts. Then there's our massive basketball stadium (with room for all sorts of sports), and community rooms.
Add amazing recreation and out-of-school programmes and there’s truly something for the whole family, all in one place.

We're close to public transport and we have plenty of free parking.

Group fitness classes
Group fitness classes get you off the couch and interacting with our community. They also harness the group's energy to create a motivating, challenging, and totally addictive workout experience.
They're a great way to change things up and make the most of your workout!
Play your role
Keep everyone safe and healthy with good hygiene practice - here are a few friendly reminders of the basics:
- Bring your water bottle and towel - No towel = No workout!
- Bring your mat to any floor-based classes (e.g. yoga)
- Cover your coughs and sneezes (into your elbow or with tissues and dispose of these into the bin immediately)
- Wash your hands frequently
- Wipe equipment you have used - while our staff clean regularly, we need your help too (we have wipes and spray for you to use)
- Shower before you swim or jump into an aqua class (helps us keep our pools clean)
- And, stay home if you are unwell - play it safe!

- You can view timetables a week in advance.
- Book into group fitness classes related to your membership up to a week in advance.
- You'll be notified of any class cancellations by email.
- You'll receive confirmation of a booked class in a form of an admission ticket.
- You don’t need to do anything with the admission ticket, just scan your membership card upon arrival.

A high-intensity interval workout with different stations that focus on cardiovascular conditioning and strength training.

Forever Fit is specifically designed with those aged 60 years and over in mind, where the focus is on strength and balance, resistance, light cardio and flexibility. Forever Fit is a social and supportive group, join us after the session for a friendly chat and a cuppa. Participants are required to attend a special one-hour appointment to join the group.

Rip yourself a new, fitter body! This barbell programme is designed for people of all ages and caters to all fitness levels. Rip features both traditional and non-traditional athletic movements.

Punching and kicking is the name of the class.
Single movement exercises are taught and then repeated in combinations. EnergyWARRIOR is a cardio-based class - explosive, fast, and fun. Built around interval music giving you 20 seconds of explosive work followed by a 10 second break.
This class will burn calories, increase your fitness fast and improve coordination.

Book them into out of school care at Allan Brewster Leisure Centre and we'll take care of them for you!
We offer a safe, proactive and fun environment, and supervised activities that include games, a variety of sports and trips.
Kids also have access to after-school programmes at the leisure centre, such as basketball and other fun games.

About our programme for 5-13 year olds
Based out of Allan Brewster Leisure Centre, our friendly and experienced staff will keep your kids active, learning new things, making new friends and building their confidence — all in their local community.
Our affordable school holiday programme for 5 to 13-year-olds includes activities like carnivals, swimming, park visits, adventure days, movies and more.
Hours
The programme runs from 9am-4pm. Before programme care is available from 7am-9am, and after programme care is available from 4pm-6pm.

Regular hirer discount
We offer a 20 per cent discount off the standard hourly rate to regular hirers.
Regular hirers are individuals or organisations who hire a venue we manage 10 times or more over the calendar year (1 January to 31 December)
Community group discount
We offer a 30 per cent discount to community groups.
For groups that meet certain criteria, community groups can get 30 per cent off the standard hourly rate.
These discounts can be stackable using reverse compounding methodology and cannot be added together. Maximum discount of 55 per cent
