At Te Matariki Clendon, we're all about our local community. Our centre has everything you need to get active and have fun in your neighbourhood!
With a huge stadium, recreation programmes for children and adults alike and a dedicated Wharekai Youth Zone for young adults, you’ll have a blast every time you come and hang out.
We're literally joined to the Te Matariki Clendon Library which makes for even more things to do.
Recreation
Whether you want to play social sports, get your kids involved in activities such as gymnastics or friendly competitive sports leagues, or sign up to some of our dedicated programmes, you can do it with us.

We have everything you need to get your kids active and having fun – all in your local neighbourhood!
Children on our after school care programme can try their hand at everything from swimming, games, and library visits, to free play sessions in the stadium, gymnastics, social sports and more.

About our programme for 5 to 13-year-olds
Leave your kids with us these school holidays and we'll keep them safe, happy and entertained.
Based out of Te Matariki Clendon Community Centre and Library, we cater for a wide range of interests with an ever-changing programme for 5 to 13-year-olds.
Our activities include plenty of opportunities to get active, brainteasers, interactive games, and arts and crafts, as well as quieter, library-focused activities
Hours
The programme runs from 8am to 5pm.
Before programme care is available from 7am to 8am. After programme care is available from 5pm to 6pm.

Youth activation programme for 11 to 18 year olds
This is a free holiday programme for youth aged 11-18 years, funded by the Ministry of Social Development. We run two programmes - one for Juniors aged 11-14 years and one for Seniors aged 15-18 years.
The programmes run for six hours a day. We do activities like team building, swimming, sports competitions, shared lunches and mystery trips.

We love hosting sports events that get our community active, but our spaces also suit:

Off-peak discount
We offer 20 per cent discount for off-peak times
Off peak times are 9am-3pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays
Regular hirer discount
We offer a 20 per cent discount off the standard hourly rate to regular hirers.
Regular hirers are individuals or organisations who hire a venue we manage 10 times or more over the calendar year (1 January to 31 December)
Community group discount
We offer a 30 per cent discount to community groups.
For groups that meet certain criteria, community groups can get 30 per cent off the standard hourly rate.
These discounts can be stackable using reverse compounding methodology and cannot be added together. Maximum discount of 55 per cent
