Starting from Saturday 16 November, we will have limited helmets available to hire from reception for $2. Customers are also welcome to bring their own helmets.
Wearing helmets at ActivZone is not compulsory, however we recommend wearing them.
About us
ActivZone is the home of skating on the North Shore — and it’s so much more!
With a giant rink, state-of-the-art lighting and sound system, skate shop, café and indoor sports arena, ActivZone is a super-fun space where people meet, hang out, play and get active.
Bonus: we’re right next door to Glenfield Pool and Leisure Centre.
Roller skating and rollerblading
Whether you are a total beginner or skating rings around the rest of us — ActivZone is the place to get rolling.
Skate hire
No skates? No problem — we've got a range of quality Bauer and Mission rollerblades and skates for hire in sizes from US10 youth up to US13 adult.
Awesome skate events
We host events like skate parties, with costumes, games and prizes. Details of each event are published on our Facebook page events tab and on OurAuckland (just search ActivZone).

Need to book a space for your event?
We love hosting sports events that get our community active, like inline hockey championships and boxing club nights, but our spaces also suit:
- birthday parties
- musical performances
- fundraisers
- team-building sessions
- conferences.

Public Session Party package
Our Public Session Party package includes entry to the ActivZone Indoor Sports Arena, skate hire, a dedicated party area with tables and chairs rink side and two free ActivZone passes for the birthday child.
Party Party package
Our Private Party package includes exclusive use of the skating rink, table tennis tables, and music for your group. It also includes two free ActivZone passes for the birthday child.

Off-peak discount
We offer 20 per cent discount for off-peak times
Off peak times are 9am-3pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays
Regular hirer discount
We offer a 20 per cent discount off the standard hourly rate to regular hirers.
Regular hirers are individuals or organisations who hire a venue we manage 10 times or more over the calendar year (1 January to 31 December)
Community group discount
We offer a 30 per cent discount to community groups.
For groups that meet certain criteria, community groups can get 30 per cent off the standard hourly rate.
These discounts can be stackable using reverse compounding methodology and cannot be added together. Maximum discount of 55 per cent
