East Coast Bays Leisure Centre updates
Gym closure 27 July to 10 August 2026
Our gym will be temporarily closed from Monday 27 July to Monday 10 August while we carry out some important upgrades to the facility.
The closure will allow contractors to complete several improvement projects, including:
- Installation of a new roof at the front entrance
- Installation of the framing for the new glass balustrades in the gym
- Installation of an air curtain at the main entrance to help keep cold air out and improve comfort during the winter months
- Completion of the new external fire escape.
What will be open?
Reception, group fitness classes and the stadium will remain open as usual throughout the works, and centre operating hours will not change.
Please note that while the new roof and air curtain are being installed, the main entrance doors will be closed. Signage will be in place and an alternative entrance will be available for customers accessing the centre.
What's happening with my membership?
Gym It memberships will be automatically suspended for the duration of the gym closure. If you would like to visit another gym*, please speak to our team at reception.
Get into It memberships you can suspend your membership online via myLEISURE (see below for more information on how to do this). If you would like to visit another gym*, you can visit any of our gyms listed below during the closure period only.

We'll reopen the gym at 6am on Tuesday 11 August, ready to welcome you back for your morning workout.
