Recreation Holiday Programmes in the COVID-19 Protection Framework

Our Holiday Programmes will look a bit different during the Covid-19 Protection Framework based on the recommendations from the government, and Recreation Aotearoa so please read on to be fully prepared for your first day with us!

The following measures are in place to keep customers and staff safe when operating at RED:​

  • When dropping off and picking up children, all parents are required to use the designated entrance/area 

  • Only one adult per family to attend drop off and pick up

  • All parents must sign in using covid tracer app or manually.

  • Parents/caregivers/whānau dropping-off or picking up their kids from Holiday Programme do not need to have a My Vaccine Pass.

  • Children in Holiday Programme/OSCAR/Kauri Kids do not need to have a My Vaccine Pass.

  • Children and young people in Break Away programmes over the age of 12 years and 3 months and over will need to have a Vaccine Pass.

  • Please keep a 1m distance between other families and all staff

  • Children over 12 years old must wear a mask into the facility and until they are in the recreation centre

  • Staff may be wearing masks but are not required to during the programme

  • Please do not send your children to the programme if they are unwell - we will not be able to accept them for the day.

  • Staff will supervise hand-washing throughout the day

  • We will not be sharing kai (food) during the programme

  • Our programme will be designed to maintain as much distance between the children as possible - but still having fun

  • The programme will be run in a space with no other groups

  • All surfaces and any equipment used will be regularly cleaned throughout the day using approved cleaning supplies
