OSCAR in the COVID-19 Protection Framework

Our OSCAR programme will look a bit different during the COVID-19 Protection Framework based on the recommendations from the government, and Recreation Aotearoa so please read on to be fully prepared for your first day with us!

The following measures are in place to keep customers and staff safe when operating at RED:

  • When dropping off and picking up children, all parents are required to use the designated entrance/area 
  • Only one adult per family to attend drop off and pick up
  • All parents must sign in using covid tracer app or manually.
  • Parents/caregivers/whānau dropping-off or picking up their kids from OSCAR do not need to have a My Vaccine Pass.
  • Children in OSCAR do not need to have a My Vaccine Pass.
  • Please keep a 1m distance between other families and all staff
  • Children aged 12 years and 3 months and over must wear a mask into the facility and until they are in the recreation centre
  • Staff may be wearing masks but are not required to during the programme
  • Please do not send your children to the programme if they are unwell - we will not be able to accept them for the day.
  • Children will remain in their school bubbles while attending before and after school care with us
  • Children are not required to wear masks in the vans/buses but staff will be wearing masks when we leave the centre (unless they have a medical exemption)
